Yes, see my last post.
It's working fine using EnergyXT though.

oh sorry, i haven't seen this.
unfortunatelly i' not planning to buy energy xt(or something else because a lack of money  ). is there a free solution? maybe i sould have a look at bidule.

I read about a free plugin chainer a few days ago, but don't remember which it was and also haven't tried it.

But really, if you're a left over Logic/PC user like me, EnergyXT should have ABSOLUTE priority on your to buy list! Layering synths, stacking effects, better VST compatibility - it's all there! Logic/PC with EnergyXT IMO is beating LogicPro 6 easily.

i'm a logic 7/mac and a logic 5/pc user. i use logic/pc mainly for some older tracks i like to finish, but as long as it works for me why sould i din't use it :D
but i don't really spend money on programs i can't use only on my pc. but i think about it.

Thing is, EnergyXT will allow you to, say, use Logic/Mac as your main sequencer while using your PC as some sort of super sound module.
The good thing about it is the full MIDI implementation. So you could just control ANY plugin parameter via ANY MIDI control. So, after loading an initial setup, you most likely wouldn't even have to touch it again as everything would simply be controlled via MIDI.

I highly recommend checking out the fully functional demo (it just won't save or reload patches).

Seriously, it has taken me a while to get EXT (and even in the end I got it more or less by accident) - and now I'm missing every single day I didn't have it available, as large portions of workarounds wouldn't be required in the past.

Just imagine having an FX chain such as a VA synth, an overdrive and a delay (all individual FX) and while moving your modwheel the filter would squeak, overdrive would increase and delay feedback would be raised. *Somewhat* possible in Logic, but you'd have to do quite some environment actions. In EXT you just do it in 1 minute and save things for future useage.

And that's just one out of TONS of possibilities.

That's very interesting Sascha. I've only ever tried the EXT demo as a standalone and never bothered buying it because it doesn't access more than one physical MIDI out, so I can't use my external hardware with it very well.

But as an enhancment to Logic... Hmm... I'd never thought of that.

It sounds like that could be the way to go for me as I haven't found any other host that can replace Logic.

Thanks for the tip.

IMHO, EXT brings Logic 5.5.1 up to quite another level.
I'd say it's like 5.8 or so - maybe even better, especially since there's no EXT equivalent for Macs.
In fact, apart from offline bounce/freeze, full PDC and the new plugins, EXT makes Logic 5.5.1/PC a more powerful sequencer than any newer mac-only version (ok, there's some other goodies in Logic 7.x, but personally they're not all that high on my "want it" list).

Don't tell me... I've got SX 3 as well, and it's nowhere even close to the elegance and working speed of Logic (at least when it comes to MIDI work).

Btw, the only drawback with EXT for me is that it's eating up your keycommands inside Logic - so you need to refocus Logics arrange (or whatever window) to get them back. But that's just the same with quite some plugins. I wish it'd be different though.
Elsewise it's just a kickass addon (and more). Not to forget some VST plugins that won't work natively in Logic at all - with EXT most of them do.

It won't save/reload unless you register - so it's not free.
Does a great job in exporting keymapped wavefiles out of VSTis though (the demo is fully functional regarding that aspect), has become a great tool for sample heads therefor.

I really wish the sequencer in energyXT would sync to logics, that would make me never want another host ever again! I too cant give up logic just yet , but 1 thing i like in cubase is that i can use 1 energyXT for drums and another for bass parts and another for synth parts ect and sequence inside it, helps keep the work place neat and since you can save each energyXT as a separate song its an extra safety measure.

As Sascha said its a great addition to Logic PC as well as Chainer which he also just mentioned, i couldnt live without either of them when using Logic PC.

eyeknow that pluggosync is only included with the main pack.........is there some other way to get these to tempo sync? Even a "maual way would be nice......I don't see any kinda "speed" or "time" buttons/dials......

Is it the jargon that has me confused

thanks.........

Oh.......yes to the RTAS for someone who posted that question, very stable on protools btw.

And I think they have potential...........but I am so far a bit dissapointed in the full pluggo version or the mode version........ :(

Gathered from the rest of your post that you're using Protools?
If so, try Lone Roger's RTASplugsyncer from here:
http://www.wildfrontear.co.uk/plugs.html
(you'll need Pluggo Runtime installed)

Cool...........but I'm windows :(
