Hello I have just been given AKAI drumkit from hell. The samplers that I use are sampletank and kontakt. How can I use this cd with these either of these programs?

Kontakt 2 can import AKAI. If you don't have K2, you should get it.. and if you don't want to do that, you'll need a conversion utility like CDXtract.

Would you be able to tell me how to import akai samples into kontakt 2? I cant find it in the manual.

Just navigate to your CD-Rom drive and drag in the program or samples you want.

It most definitely is in the manual; page 75. It's one of the main features of K2, they don't leave it out.

I have a blank page on pp. 75 i think theyve sent me the manual for kontakt 1

When i drag in these samples they are just wav samples like anything else. Can you import the full kits or do you have to assign them on thye map yourself?

I've updated to kontakt2 yes it is much better. When I load in the kits from DFH it loads about 100 samples for a 5 peice kit. Is this because a different sample is used for different velocities? I didnt know that you could do this
