i have this track i'm working on and Cubase for some reason unloads ALL the vts when i load it now. i fortunately have an older version of the track where this doesn't happen, but as i do not want a repeat and it's a major hassle, does anyone have any idea why this happens?

That's really weird; do you mean an older version of the song works in SX 3, or that you can open it in an older version of Cubase? I've never seen that happen with any version.

i have a version i saved like a week earlier of the SONg...like song1...but song2 i did more with...i was basically tryin a dif direction and stuff....i THINK the problem is that i have 3 instances of Xphraze in there and that program gives me a LOT of problems..but BOTH of 'em had the same vsts running....it's weird...and backtracking the new stuff is tuff bc unloaded vsts mean i cant tell what presets i was using on the newest stuff....

Can't you save your Xphrase presets in the "Store Preset" menu (or to external fxp) and load them back in in the song2 project?

i tried opening song2 and reconnecting a vst but there's no sound now...even when i tried to play an audio sample i have in there...silence...i've just gone back to song1 and i'll be sure to back up my stuff a lot....xphraze has given me problems in the past as well..but i love the sounds and what i can do with it rhythmically....maybe i'll start sampling it out at the start of each project...

Man, that's too weird - did you check the VST Connections?

Cubase 3.0SX unloading VSTs
