UPDATE June 10
This is the latest betas v.031
Have done some testing with Cubase and all works fine so far but that is not to say that it will work for everyone, Let me know so we can fix.
The GUIs are now the GUIs you see in the pics above :)
These GUIs are all draw modules and use no images at all ;)
Once we have done some more testing and refining we will try toadd automation and presets.
Post any problems here ;)
EDIT*
Forgot to add that the gain actually works as it should now, It wasn't working correctlyon the previous version.

Its an early Beta so if you would like other features just post here.
I lke the sound and it uses virtually no CPU :)

Drive code by Unkagherth.
Tone code by Platinumears.
Built by NAS in Synthmaker.

ok i like this one! this is a keeper how about a 3 or 4 band version did i say that this is a keeper

Post

yeah this is great :)

the level should be labeled 'Drive Mix' for its current behaviour tho - it only affects the amount of drive and has no effect whatsoever on the tone control. i immediately expected the level control to be a 'master gain' level parameter to allow me to turn the end result down - but that's not what it does. perhaps this could be changed?
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Yep anything can be changed, infact if you use SM you can change it yourself :)

That is doable, we have ported the RBJ EQ filters to SM, so they could be used to split the input into 3/4 bands, then a seperate 'SMC Drive' for each of the bands :)

You could ofcourse use the pack/unpack so that you only need one drive unit and one band unit....

Post

Of course :dog:

I'm still getting my head around the whole SSE methodology

I've updated the pic at the top but haven't updated the Plug yet, I'm out at the moment so i'm only on somebody elses dial up.

The GUI is tidier (NAS) the code is more effiecent (Unk) and it sounds and works better :)
Unk showed how to do a display so its has one, Multiband soon with exact same CPU

VST tommorrow :D
