I daresay you have to be best friends with a major label already to get your hands on them. It doesn't say how the average joe gets hold of samples.

.....as in Dr. Dre can sample Madonna's vocals but we can't. Good theory.Jbravo wrote:I daresay you have to be best friends with a major label already to get your hands on them. It doesn't say how the average joe gets hold of samples.

Awww, yes, and he's (Reznor) awesome for doing that, however, there are restrctions subject to copywrite rules or somesuch thing, which I havn't bothered to read. I'm guessing that basically you can make songs freely with his stuff, you just can't turn around and make it commercial without permission.deggy wrote:nine inch nails posted a garage band 2 file of hand that feeds on the site a month ago
PS. He's gonna have new samples from one of his song's (probably "Only") for both Apple and PC users, posted for download soon.

you gotta check out the "Hand THat Feeds" / "Ghostbusters" mash-up. I heard them play it in this club and the dance floor went nuts.toine6 wrote:Awww, yes, and he's (Reznor) awesome for doing that, however, there are restrctions subject to copywrite rules or somesuch thing, which I havn't bothered to read. That type of this is a cool idea for dj/producers who will take the track and remix it so they can play it on a tarnce night or house night etc..
