a friend of mine plans to purchase a mac and is looking for a (mod) tracker software. my hosts query over here came up with only "renoise" as result.
anyone knows other mac osx trackers or is this too special interest?

I use the renoise windows version and can say after demoing other PC trackers before it, it is the one I find most comfortable to use. I used to use octamed on the amiga and found the leap to renoise was not too difficult. If your friend comes from a tracking background renoise should certainly be ok.
The only issues with renoise on the mac atm afaik is highish CPU use but I believe optomizations are due for the next versions.

There is a demo version also which only has ASIO and wav rendering options disabled.
