Freeze Tail!! Does it Cut or Release?

when freezing a track what happens to the tail of say an evolving pad with some release?

its going to cut out abruptly yes?

Might help if we knew what software you're using.

For example, FL Studio has three options - wrap remainder, cut remainder, leave remainder.

yea... in logic the freeze extends to wherever you set the end point for the song. so if you have the end point right on the end of the last note of the pad, it will cut off... if it's 30 measures out, you'll have a ton of silence

i imagine it works similar for a lot of hosts.

thanks for the reply guys, Im actually using live and anticapating the new release with freeze feature.

I've never had any experience with freeze other than FX_freeze plugin which does not loop very with long release tails.., just wondering if this is common with all freeze protocol?
