Yamaha MSP5 good monitoring?

I've been using a pair for the last 7 years, they sound pretty good to me. Plus, because they have both XLR and jack inputs, you can use one in a pinch as a guitar practice amp ( at low volume ), which I have done several times without harm to ears or speakers.

I really like my MSP-5's thanks to the fact that they're not flat. They have that slight 4-5k lift that makes them nicely detailed.
I'm very happy with them overall, people often complain that they're sharp but I really can't agree. However if things have too much treble it will quickly show which is a nice thing.
