Hi everybody!

Is there any plug-in to add the noise that a radio tuner produces when your are searching for a radio station?

Post

Why don't you just plug in a radio and record some noise? I did this on one song... a shortwave radio works best. :D
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Modulated White Noise in any synth maybe ? (As long as it can generate white noise that is)

I did :D , but I have to introduce radio noise in 20-30 demo songs for a web. Any plug-in so I can go faster?

Just remembered, try Reception (AFAIremember that was the name) from Psychic Modulation.

Ive got a patch for ConcreteFx Adder that sounds remarkably close...

Thanks Shamanix, but their web seems to be down right now.

Whyterabbyt, I don't have ConcreteFx Adder. Can Adder introduce some seconds of noise automatically in a song, for example each 30 seconds?

there's a vst plugin called RradioAM that does just that...get it here:

there are a few more radio plugins there that I haven't tried...and they're all freeware

ganzua; its a synth, so you'd just have to set up some notes to play every 30 second...

Radio is pretty cool. Be careful though it can get pretty loud. :-o

SoundFOrge and a batch conversion ?

or maybe putting all your tracks throught a plugin with that kind of demo limitation : the random noise from the demo plugin will be applied on your tracks.
You jsut have to put all your tracks in your host and make a batch.

Thanks to everybody again;

I tried RradioAM but not sure if it's what I'm looking for. I want to automatically insert short seconds of radio noise randomly through the song, just like "voxengo beep" inserts beeps.

I can do it manually, but it will be a pain to process 20-30 songs.

try xxdr8008 drumsynth. there is a preset called crushing radio.

but you have to register...

The ultimate: build a little ultra low-power AM radio transmitter (kits exist and don't cost a lot), play the music through that, record the output of an AM radio tuned to the transmitter's frequency. You could adjust the transmission frequency to get suitable "neighbors" and interference/lack of interference.

[edit] Okay, not quite the ultimate. The ultimate would be using a real commercial or non-profit AM broadcast transmitter. :-D I could pull that off, but it's not an option most folks can take advantage of.

Ok, thanks to everybody again!
