A good story: I got in a heated argument with Glen Benton over the Necronomicon's authenticity...

I really have to ask about that. Was one of you was claiming it was authentic? ;)

T'would be impossible for us to argue about it's authenticity otherwise, no? I would have thought the upsidedown cross carved into his face may have been a dead giveaway.

He was the idiot that thought it was real. While it DOES have a good smattering of loosely interpreted Babylonian creation myth, that's about it as far as credibility's concerned..

I certainly enjoyed knocking the living shit out of him. I would have finished the job if half the moshpit didn't rush the stage when they saw him go belly up..

Well, there are several fake versions floating about, including one which was done by the SF author David Langford. You could have been arguing over which one was the real one... ;)

Hey, I've only heard it mentioned on the radio. :-D To me TV is a way of watching weather radar.

What I'm listening to now: Soundtracks to the world's greatest silent films. With outdoor accompaniment (for a change free of rainfall SFX).
