0506 would be correct.

Why? Because if you sort files by name in that format, then they will be arranged chronologically no matter what the filesystem date is!

Screw US and Europe time differences: the only format that matters is COMPUTER LOGIC! :P

The time is now 050603112142. :D

I think 0605 makes just as much sense. By the way...when I take down my cursor to the computer clock to see the date it says 3. June 2005. :)

If you're running Winblows, you can change it to whatever format you want -- mine says 2005, June 03, Friday.

.. Until you've collected files from more than 1 year. Then the month takes precedence over year and the files list out of chronological order. Following the other format (yearmonth) is the simplest way to ensure the files are chronologically listed. Very helpful when organizing stuff on a webserver for example.

Well, one real challenge with being signed is that you get to demand four gallons of M&Ms with all the 'brown ones removed' in your studio performance rider...

That's noble for sure. I can't say I am as high minded. I would love to get paid to do this full time ... Well, as long as I didn't have to write ringtones.

I want to get signed.
What are the chances this contest is being watched by major label scouts?
