if you can find a copy of mellosound(not online anymore), tapeworm, MTron and extra tape banks(WORTH IT), sonic reality refills Mello T(also worth it for the most part).

I agree with S_A_P that M-Tron is a great deal. However, I differ with him on the subject of my emoticons' eyes. I do NOT speak Arabic, nor do my beady little eyes. *nod*

hmm the masterbits CD i have contails the same Banks and many more (400MBs) and doesn´t coats the half (20 Euro´s on E-Bay)
the free plugs contain both only the "standart" Mellotron sound too.. but they are for free and easy to use, the only way i see for me to get more Mellotron sounds is the MTron plugin but it has it´s price so if there isn´t any other freebe out there i can´t get more at the moment..

From what I can tell, although I cannot be certain, Mello Trax doesn't contain more than the HS CD, it just seems to have more "variations" which I imagine are the same banks with various tweaks and FX added, something you can easily do on your own sampler if you know how to use it.--JT-- wrote:hmm the masterbits CD i have contails the same Banks and many more (400MBs) and doesn´t coats the half (20 Euro´s on E-Bay)

Also, it is in breach of the copyright if these 20EURO CD's are being sold second hand, and seeing as the originals cost $99, I can't see these being new, although again, I can't say for certain.
And finally, there weren't that many original Mellotron sounds, and those that remain are prized by their owners and rarely see the light of day, except of course when GMedia manage to persuade them to allow a sampling session

It seems no one has mentioned the Nanotron http://www.dream.vortex.btinternet.co.u ... ts/29.html which is the best free mellotron plug I've heard.
