I had problems with SMC drive, the GUI looks changed now, in Cubase VST4, when I open any VST or VSTi and move the GUI, Cubase closes down? Are there catches to Synthmaker?. Anyway, since the GUI has changed, Ill re-download it.

The updated plug is not there yet, I'm still not back at my broadband yet :(
Later this afternoon it should be up :)

Yeah this is definatly a Beta so bugs like the one you have found are to be expected ;)
I will look into it further because we can only test in our hosts Tracktion 1+2 FL EXT Acid.

SMC Drives

This is the most upto date version (Beta 2) and now contains a multiband SSE optimized version aswell as the old version :)
The old version has a new GUI so that they both match, The new GUI is built using modules and not images to save size (And cause i like vector style GUIs)

There will probably be bugs so beware :P

I'm so glad Synthmaker's GUI's always look way smoother than Synthedit GUI's. Did you make the GUI? Anyways, I've been dying to try a VST created in synthmaker, can't wait to try this at all. Thanks! :-D

What? How does SE's GUI look like anything? Do the GUI's on my synths have some SE taint to them somehow? SE GUI's cn look like anything, its just the fine control over interaction that it lacks.

Well, i'm speaking of the Default GUI my friend. ;-)

Actually, I do have two of your synths, and they have damn fine GUI's. I'm speaking of the God awful blue one that comes up though.

O/K, I retested the update version of SMC drive, through Cubase VST4 and still have the same problem.
When I first loaded up Cubase, and it scrolled to SMC, Cubase closed immediately, before it finnished opening.
Then, I loaded Cubase again, this time it opened, but the same problem, open any VST or i, and move its GUI and Cubase will automaticaly dissapear.

Well, I will test it in Traction 2 next, and sea what happens next.

Post

Well, Iv just tested it in traction 2, it seems to work ok. Its got nice tone, but....? This file 19637 Iv downloaded from the link, just above, is the small 3 knob previous one????? Oh, the synthmaker demo synth works o/k in cubase, I think. Iv come across a few synths in past, that have had teething problems, and cubase has closed.

Post

Lastly, that tone?, so far, got the making of a good tube warmer???????????

Uuuum both versions should be in that Zip ?
I will look into this and the cubase issue aswell.

The last version before the updated GUI worked fine for me. However, this latest release definitely crashes Wavelab, and Kristal.

I dig what I'm hearing from the working version though.
