You're electrifying. Thank you, sir. *bow*

[Actual birthdate = June 9th. Figured I might as well get on the job while I was thinking of it, plus this way there'll be plenty of congratulatory messages when he drops by KVR on the 9th -> as he usually does <- (meffy is joking about that last bit)]

Happy Birthday LP.......
well what can I say, I 've always liked Les Paul guitars (and their imitations) better than the fender type ones.
Much more creamy sounding, leass clangy and easier to play!

so sad... his parents named him after a guitar ...

:-D Could be worse. Paris Hilton got named after a city and a hotel.

Her sister, Paris Texas, was named even worse :(

farlukar: *nod* Earlier I was looking at photos from his 88th birthday bash, and he looked great. Better than some 60-year-olds I've met. A lively man!

He still does phone interviews from his home with DJ's at AM740 here in town. Amazing nice man with even more amazing talents.

Those solo/melodies of his along with Mary Fords vocals just leave me stunned every time. :o

Happy B-Day you humble axe man!

LP is also responsible for inventing multitrack recording, probably as big a contribution as the Les Paul guitar. Here's to you, Les! :D

I'll go hug my '76 Les Paul Deluxe. I worked as a portrait artist in an amusement park my senior year in high school to buy it. Horrible job, but any amount of trauma is worth a guitar like that.
