Has anyone put together an Akai .akp version of these kits yet ? If not, I'd be more than happy to oblige. I can do a 16Bit .akp for use in S5/6000's and a 24Bit version for the Z Series and MPC4000.

Let me know :)

The faster solution would be to download the soundfonts and get the WAVs from those.

But any wave editor lets you do the conversion easily. Or better yet, get DBPowerAmp Converter, it's sooo handy for certain conversion tasks.

Lovesign there are .akp maps for these kits, we (90% me, 10% Kingston) just never put them online as most people grabbed the various mappings from the links in the posts here on KVR and also because Spe3d got the files online while I was still twisting arms at our end to get our server people to do their thang.

But now that you mentioned it... Kingston is here in Finland right now, I'll contact him and ask about all the mappings for different samplers he might have stashed somewhere, and put everything we have on the site.

Not the quickest service, almost a year to add a couple of files, I know... :D

This turned out to be quite an event in the end – the legacy continues – but in reality its just the beginning :)

The links are all a bit incorrect now re-harmony, that site I removed and replaced with the second part of audioshot – audioshots – (I put re-directs in so the links have not broken at the various sites) the mirror files for the drum kits are now located in the Auditorium. ;)

Best regards,

Spe3d

No only the wave files and the sound fonts - all the other files were meant to be at the main bombsquad site - but thats still an on going thing - though any sfz etc type files can be posted along with them if any one wants to upload them.

Lovesign If you feel like it, do your own :) I'll gladly put those online - I'm whipping up a page for the mappings and including descriptions and other details etc.

Hopefully Kingston's 'thing' will let him get online or at least answer his phone today :P

hi everybody.

I tried to digest all these new developments as I haven't been active around here for a while. Thanks to everybody who's been creating updates and maps. jmh will have the site up to date shortly with all the new formats gathered to one single archive.

:D

Thanks a million JMH, those are great.

I might do some mappings of my own, but to be honest, I don't think I could do much different to what is on offer already. I'll take a look when I have some spare time and see what I can knock up then let you have whatever I create :)

If it's ok with you, I'd like to post the .akp link on my forum, Akai Pro Users Forum for other avid Akai users to benefit from :)

Many thanks again,

Rob.
