I was wondering if anyone around here knows anything else about Amplitube 2 like when its expected to release? theres nothing on there site or anything about it.

I saw the article here and the program looks AMAZING, ive gotten the chance to use Amplitube a few times at my friends place but and i was thinking of buying it but when i saw that this was suppose to come out this spring i decided to save the money and wait cause it looks so amazing. But i cant seem to find any news about it anymore, i was just wondering if anyone knew of anything new about it? or maybe if the release date is still expected to be the same? any help would be cool, thanks!

I e-mailed IK asking for a release date.
I got a "most likely August"
Two months ago it was "most likely June" so it looks like things are being delayed.

hm, judging the tone from the streaming video would be madness, but the sound quality isn't bad in the vid so i'll do it

i'm afraid it still has this over-processed slightly metallic sound. looks like my podxt is here to stay.

You could get Amplitube 1 now for $299, and then take advantage of the upgrade to Amplitube 2 for $149 when it comes out. It's an extra $50 compared with waiting and just getting Amplitube 2, but for that $50 you get Amplitube 1 (which will sound different to Amplitube 2 - it won't be redundant), and you get to start enjoying Amplitube now. It's another possibility.
