Adding FX to a master in Cubase?

Is it possible to do this only by running everything through a group track? It seems like there should be a much easier way, like putting an insert on the master out.

There are 8 insert slots in the master section of Cubase...

Depends on which version of Cubase do you have? Also, why don't you have a look into the manual?
