Does anyone get this? It mainly happens when assigning input changes, but can happen if you add fx and sends too..........this is only when play in project is activated.
Anyone else getting this? any solutions?

My guess is that the click you hear is a carefully transformed digital implementation of what happens on analog gear if you (un)plug it while it's still powered on. Those clicks can eventually kill your hardware.
nb: i'm only trying to be funny, but changing a signal chain while it's in progress is bound to click. unless the software designers take care of it.

Actually, though my situation was a little different, it might be it. I was tryna use protools free, but I was getting that a lot. After the track kept playing for so long it stopped on my altogether. You might wanna clean up your system and everything, mine was just too slow to handle it, but yours sound like it isn't. It just might need cleaned up. But then of course, it could always be something else.

It's mpowered actually......
I have no stability problems at all....if you are playing a track back and change lets say the snare of bfd to a diffent input on the fly, it click high pitch. Doesn't if the audio engine is stopped (the obvious but unsatisfactory solution)
High quality clicks for sure......must be like 5 to 25k:lol:
Anyways.....thanks for replys ......kidding and all...

I'm using Windows 98, but my system just couldn't support it. Everytime I pressed that play button, clicks everywhere.
