Would like to say that I really enjoy using Manystation and feel that the sample sounds are great, Nice clean full sounding samples!!

I would like to request for a future addon a sample of a Fender Bass VI, if it all possible,I know its hard to come by this great sounding Baritone Guitar, But I have searched and searched through all kinds of Sample Librarys and no one has ever sampled this guitar. So If you ever come across one, and have the chance to sample it and include it in a Manystation addon it would be greatly appreciated!! hell if you could sell me the sample set alone it would be fantastic!

Thank you, and cheers on making a great product!

What else is planned for MS in the near future?

Hi Alan
We have a few things on the Go!
I cannot yet say them all untill i know they all are official.
But this is an idea of what is happening here:

1) All our Free samples currently on the ManyTone Website are being re-edited (To get them up to Station Standards :-) ) and put into ManyStation Soundsets. They will then get a Bank of Presets done up for them and they will be released for Free to ManyStation Users. It will be a bit of a Drum n Bass bank i guess. Some of the drum samples there are pretty great sounding and will be cool in the Station.

2) A New Fantastic Bass Set is nearly complete. This is a Huge set of various styles. We will also have this in Soundfont format and perhaps even some other formats.
More info on it soon.

3) An acoustic Bass Soundset is in the works... An extensive set of Ovation Acoustic / Electric Bass Soundsets, with both Mic and Piezo recordings etc.

4) We have talked with BITR about a few sets ... I think we might see an ethnic instrument Package first from them and us soon.

5) We have talked to a Sample Maker in India about an Indian ethnic Set. I will give More info once i get it.

6) A Didgeridoo "One Shots" Sampleset. This will be very inexpensive.

7) A Cool MIDI Guitar Midi Files package is presently being worked on by myself and a few other Guitarists with Midi Guitars. This will be a construction kit type of thing and will really show the guitars in ManyStation and allow users who normally could not program proper strums etc. to have a few midis to manipulate in their own ways :-)
This should be very cool for users.
Some, if not all of this Midi Set will be FREE to ManyStation users... I need to see the final results before i can say for sure though how we will distribute it.

8) Also we have permission to translate all the U of I samplesets into ManyStation Format. Once i get some users willing to help with this, we will put them on the Manytone server for free also! There is some Great stuff there!

Also some other freebees will be released soon ...including a Nylon Guitar mute patch to go with the Nylon Sets included in ManyStation.

And a few more things too... Remember though... the list above is Not Definate ... It is Just an idea of what may be on the horizon. (Nothing is definate till it is finished and approved here)

Ohhh ... Also a new Server is on the list .... This should happen this week.

Some releases in the next few weeks if things go as planned.

Thanks for asking ... Be prepared :-)

What's the status of this? Do you still need people to help? When do I start?

Hi Alan
I have learned to take things as they fall off the tree.

heh
Meaning...
We have a Bunch of sounds we will be releasing....
But i cannot promise anything untill said Time.
Some apples take longer to ripen than others. :-)

I really want to do a Bunch of the instruments you mention and I think over time you will see some of the ones you mention, materialize.
When we sample something here .... We require not only a Decent Instrument .... But also a Musician who knows that instrument and it's playing styles and techniques and sounds etc.
You will see some of your above suggestions eventually from us ....
But you may see a few different things from us first...
I think some of the apples are ripening :-) We'll collect them as they do.
Hows that ;-)

Apples??? Oh, no, they don't ripen until the fall! :? Don't suppose you'd like to release a few cherries in July or at least a few August apricots?

Exactly
In Fact...
We also have Sounds that will ripen in June :-)
Our eggs are not all in 1 basket. ;-)
All This .... and More ...Once we train the Chickens.

Sorry for delay replying to this....
I actually tried a few conversions here myself and found the tuning to not sit very well when put against My Perfect pitch :-) So i concluded some serious time was involved to get them proper.

But if you have any that you have converted to soundfont or other format...Then let us know and I can get them into Our Format and Up on the website for our users to Download. (Providing we sort some Tuning issues first ... via retuning or what have you.)

I had already forgotten about this :D... I downloaded some of it, but I also have too many other samples to play with... And lucky enough I don't have perfect pitch, I'm easily satisfied :).

I haven't started yet on that set, but I did put some time in creating Wusik sets and learning a bit of VSampler, finally...

Sorting tuning issues = finding out the exact pitch of the samples and then mapping them to the right key? Or did you have more advanced stuff in mind? (This seems to be a good time to pick the mind of an sampling expert ;))
