What is the best sounding- richest sounding- realistioc sounding piano pack i can buy for kontakt 2? Any recommendations?

For me the vintaudio Yamaha C7 is simply the closest think I've played to a real piano. You'll need a 1 gig of ram at least to play in realtime. But it does have the Players perspective sample set, which when piped into a Yamaha P200 or similar is just great to play.
Others are the PMI ones like the Old Lady, Emporer and Bosendorfer 290.
It's a shame you missed out cos there were some great group buys on these Piano about 6 months ago.
I think they are all still worth the full price though.

A lot of the newer generation piano multisamples are much improved with the advent of inbuilt convolution and MIDI scripting... The PMI Emperor with some of the newer scripts available on the PMI site is pretty darned good
