Anyway, we're getting a bit too specific here :hihi: This was just supposed to be a generalised moan-fest :D

It's pretty frustrating, actually. I wish people would come out with this kind of info and name names. Might save some of us a lot of money.
I dunno........seems that when names are "named" there are too many flames and bashings...........this is more fun! :D

Because I keep wading through and re-arranging windows all the time.
Because I can't change the order of inserts.
Because it has too many bugs.
Because MIDI timing sucks.
Because it has a  dongle that says Steinberg on it.
When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.

Post

because it's so expensive and claims it's geared for pros. :x
be part of the solution, not the problem

Host A - I hate this host because it is purple & green. Purple & green what the f**k were they thinking. Now I hear you can change these dumbass colors but still, the default color scheme is ridiculous. Further, using midi in this host was quite bad previously although it suppositely is now better. Dunno cuz I just can't handle looking at those colors any longer ;)
My advice is... DUCK :scared:

:hihi:

Anyway, if you wish to change those colours you will probably have to trawl through various settings pages/bloatware before you can work out how the hell to do it

I think there were a couple of threads that did that before

Absolutely. Reading this thread I think that *most* of the sequencers have been hated by at least one of us, and for a variety of reasons. It's fun trying to spot who is hating which :hihi: and why.

For every disatisfied customer who calls a "spade" a "shovel", there will also be a fanboy or two who will mysteriously pop out of nowhere with a barrage of personal attacks. It's not worth the effort!

When it comes to choosing a sequencer to actually fork out money on, its always best to try the demo AND read the relevant forum (and do a search for words like "hate", etc  ).

All modular hosts... Because their users spend all their time in threads like these slagging off non-modular hosts instead of making music :hihi:

There's a host bundled with One Ping Only now? Where? Where?! :hyper:

Hi! (finally, an excuse for my first post on KVR :hyper:)

Have you tried changing your Machine ID at my.mackie.com (assuming we're both talking about the same host, but right now I can't think of any other "Host T" of which a free version was given away )? It worked for me...

Oh, and sorry for that daft nickname. I'm still trying to think of something better...

Host L: because it is toy software, only useful for 4/4 music. impossible to work with audio(loops) that are not in neat groups of 2 or 4 bars. Stupid interface, total waste of money.
Host D: I actually love this one, I just need a faster machine, because the interface is so slow.
Host P: I hate carrying a dongle around, especially one with these dimensions.
Host T: sort of totally gave up on it after the recent version 2.
Host M: very expensive, unstable, bad support, but give me plugin automation and I'm happy.
Host R: obviously not for making music, even more a toy than Host L.

Edit: Oh, I sold the other Host L............. :clown:

And let me guess, that softsynth uses a different implementation to boot?
