I was wondering if there is a listing of the midi mapping of SS2/ST2 floating around anywhere.

I have a Keystation Pro 88 with the Enigma software and I would like to configure a preset with the midi map controls for the synths.

edit: Oh and is there a way to configure SS2 to not default to midi channel 1 when you load a combi sound?

Are you talking about the default MIDI CC assignments? CCs 12-15 correspond to the four macro controls, and of course volume (CC 7) and pan (CC 10) are also assigned.

The rest is up to you. :wink: You can assign any CC to any ST2/SS2 parameter.

Not at the moment, but maybe in the future.

Something like..
Pan = CC# 24
Attack = CC# 17
etc..

Excuse my ignorance in midi..this is my first midi controller and im still learning as i go along. I figured if i knew the CC# i would just be able to type it in and label it using the M-Audio Enigma software then save it as a preset to recall on demand

And thanks for the SS2 answer and extremely quick response.

Ok,

Macro1 = CC# 12
Macro2 = CC# 13
Macro3 = CC# 14
Macro4 = CC# 15
Volume = CC# 7
Pan = CC# 10

The rest is totally user-assignable.

Midi...I was in over my head when I bought M-Audio's Ozonic...now I still have no idea of how to operate all those knobs and faders...let alone all those buttons...guess it's manual reading time...but I don't want to read...I want to play.... :(

It's deceptively simple. Faders, knobs, doesn't matter much. Just set each one's CC# to a function and you're good for the most part.

Its really not that bad just like Farren says. Once you get the hang of it you wonder why you didnt figure it out earlier. The only problem I am having is getting my Pro 88 to communicate with SS2/ST2. I was able to get my volume control working (CC#7) but thats the only one that will work for me. Im pretty sure its something to do with how my Pro88 is "talking" with my synths.

I do suggest you go to M-Audios website and download their Enigma software (its free) in case you havent already. It lets you configure you controller via a windows based GUI and upload it to your controller as well as set up to 10 custom presets for 10 synths etc.

Ok..official retard alert..

I still cannot get my Pro 88 to control ST2.

I click the Midi button in ST2. I choose a knob on my Pro 88 assign that number to the control i want to control in ST2. Nada.
