Using logic & NI Audio Instruments Live

Hello y'all!

This is my second post on the same topic so apologies for repeating myself repeating myself.

I'm using Logic Express live with various samples via EXSP24 and NI's B4. Is there any way I can play different audio instruments onto different MIDI channels without putting Logic into play mode?

A friend suggested MOTU's Mach 5 as possibly being a better way to approach this problem but I would still need to toggle between this and any other Audio instrument via the laptop's cursor, which is risky at the best of times. Any suggestions anyone?

Try the wonderful RAX host from Granted Software. This is an AU only virtual mixer/host. You can save setups, assign MIDI channels, use the 8 bus send for effects, etc. Not sure it will play Logic instruments but it works on my NI stuff. I believe that there is a demo that you can download and upgrade later for around $30. I wouldn't play live without it. Hope this helps.
