I have decided that my Proteus samples are just not cutting these days and I have about 50 pounds to spend on some new string samples. I mainly use them as a quartet/quintet accompanying a voice, or as part of a bigger string arrangement alongside other instruments (mainly synts and world percussion).

I can see 2 options: Either upgrade my Project 5 to v2 which apparently has decent string samples with it, or the Sampletank Symphony Strings.

Any other suggestions or comments on these 2 options?? Please??? :help:

Sampletank Symphony Strings.
When I bought them they were the best thing in their class as they had violins, violas, cellos and double basses - and not just the usual "strings1, strings2".

But ... GPO has suddenly become extremely cheap and maybe worth the extra cash.
