Maybe this is out-of-style, but I'm a self-admitted Depeche Mode fan and I'm stoked about the new album.
What does this have to do with the photos? Erhm...

Cool synths but who are the geezers loitering all over the place?
Also, I wonder if there will be any of Gahan's songs on the new album. The Q/Mojo story made it sound like there might be a mix of Gore/Gahan songs.

How antiquated - I can't believe people still work like that.

Bones that has to be the most stupid comment I have seen on this forum... if vsti's gave the sound they needed, do you not think that as a band that can have any instrument they wanted, that maybe they would use just vsti's.
If they used just vsti's like the kraftwerk concert I'm listening to now....which sounds crap and digital compared to the origionals..... then the Depeche Mode sound which is dark warm would be lost.
Vsti's are good, but they don't and won't for a long time replace analog fx and synths. There's a reason why certain people with a lot or knowledge of music and audio still use analog... it's not because they can't let go. I'm sure they'd love to ditch all their gear in favour of a laptop if it gave them the sound they needed.

and before you all think it
I use 70% vsti 30% analog in my releases, because I can't afford all decent gear and I also love a lot of my vst synths.
