Let's rephrase it to you once more... in case for example Devon's explanation still hasn't gone through.

The version of PACE used here is challenge/response. It has nothing to do with the older infamous version that installed a lower level driver (tkpd.sys) which caused a lot of grief to people.

How hard is it to consume that bit of information?!

The whole "system meltdown" crap - it's simply impossible with this version. People crying about PACE causing this and that are either clueless about the issue or like you - simply refusing or being incapable of understanding what's being told to you, repeatedly, by several people.

I'd understand your concern IF THERE WAS A RATIONAL REASON behind it.

So, once again. THE VERSION OF PACE USED BY PRINCETON DIGITAL CANNOT CAUSE "SYSTEM MELTDOWNS", BSODS, CRASHES ETC.

Repeat it out loud. Until the little lamp over your head lights up.

Then get on with purchasing the damn plugin, it's worth it :)

All I did was ask what others thought about it. Open-mindedly.

Not sure what I'm having a hard time getting through my head, or refusing to believe. I asked the question and posted a poll. I haven't argued it was good or bad since. Wake up.

If you have personal reasons to attack me that I don't know about, please pm me. Otherwise, shut your cum-catcher. Please.

The poll shows 23 votes against it, 21 for it.

There's nothing personal about it. Simply trying to get a point across, perhaps not just to you.

The whole matter is really simple - once it's understood.

c'mon guys stop it..... no reason to get all angry about it... it's software after all....

so here's my way of seeing it.....

PrincetonDigital StereoRoom uses a non driver version of Pace authorization so that they didn't have to write there own C/R system..... C/R isn't really a system killer - though it still isn't superb in terms of usability..... but only a driver can cause crashes and such so there's no problem.....

and to be honest even with the driver installed for my iLok I didn't run into problems so far - I actually rather have stuff on my iLok than C/R - but that's just me I guess

BUT NO DRIVERS IN STEREO ROOM

All it took was an intervention from a hippie :D

(note to self: always have a hippie in the sleeve if trouble arises)

Jeff I hope I haven't caused you extra grief...
