It is a sample from the synful orchestra synth. The violin sounds so good when you throw a little reverb on it. The vibrato sounds quite natural too. It inspired me to make an instrumental. Anybody use this soundfont? If not, then you should find it, it is quite good.

While it is a good soundfont, I warn you, it isn't perfect. a bit of reverb really makes it shine though.

Can this be legal?
Isn't Synful Orchestra samplebased?

I'm pretty sure it is considered a synth. I don't think it is sample based like, for instance, GPO or Vienna or something.

I could have sworn read something about the synful guys recording new stuff for it and some phase alignment stuff for fading different samples into another.
Maybe i thought of something else.

Related question? Are there any banks of bowed stings presets for string theory? I like the bowed sound but it is a bitch to program for me. I need lots of examples.

I could give it a try. I haven't really used string theory yet, but I could see if I can make something. D/l now.funkadil wrote:Related question? Are there any banks of bowed stings presets for string theory? I like the bowed sound but it is a bitch to program for me. I need lots of examples.
