How is VST implementation in Magix Deluxe, Does it support midi loop recording and audio loop recording, is it comparable to Logic PC 4.XX ?

Post

LOGIC PC was the most terrificest host for PC, I dearly miss it

HI

There seem to be so many different variations of 'Magic' that it's hard to keep track - I have got 'Music studio 2005' which is a combination of the Logic midi and Samplitude audio; before you get excited though they are MEGA cut down versions - being an ex Logic user I thought these looked good at the price but TBH I find the package pretty wanting.

I don't think they do demoes either - so it's a 'but to try' deal!

I saw on the Magic site another program which appeared to be using a cut down version of Samplitude for midi - I can't remember the name but it was version 10 - it may have been 'Music maker' or something like that?

I think for a 'nebie' these programs might be ok, but for anyone who has used a 'FULL' version of Logic or samplitude I can't help feeling that they will leave you wanting for all the extras that they will be missing.

Here you go, it's called 'Music maker 2005'

Apparently 24bit.

I thought the new automatic 'elastic audio' (ie. Autotune) looked tempting, but did I read properly that the whole shebang is only in 16/44.1?

HI

This could be a problem!

"DirectX™- ,VSTi™- Support
(1 instrument/track)"

I don't know if that is - you can have 1 track dedicated to using 1 vst or you can have 1 vst per instrument track!

What's your budget like?
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I heard that as well.I'm not sure why they would want to impose that limitation on themselves, silly.

The site says it is 32 bit internally and can export at 24 bit.

I'm still using Logic. What should be the reasons not to do so? With Energy XT you get way better plugin compatibilitly and so far (while I wish it was there) I can live without freeze and offline bounce.
And btw, Logic 4.8 is running on XP.
