I don't mind the gui, its just that it needs better grouping.. Color coded backgrounds for either adrs's or vco's etc... One type of control group would have one color of background.
The following statement is true.
The previous statement is false.

Yes, that's a very good suggestion.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:I don't mind the gui, its just that it needs better grouping.. Color coded backgrounds for either adrs's or vco's etc... One type of control group would have one color of background.
In case it's gonna be a multi-page UI (which I usually don't like in case it's avoidable), I'd recommend to only put the FX section onto another page. I think all the other functions are just too essential to move them away from the main page.
Of course, if this synth was open to, hm, let's say "redesign issues" I'd recommend using a mod matrix rather than fixed modulation options - that might save up some space as well.
OTOH, the overview might get lost that way.
Finally, apart from a few coloring issues, my only request would be syncable LFOs (along with proper note value readout) and less note hangers and/or lost notes (also got them in SX allready).

I don't like the GUI myself.
Though it's easy to overlook when you have this sort of sound quality to CPU overhead ratio.
Infact I've replaced PolyIblit with this.
Great sounding synth with alot of sonic possibilities.
Nice meaty sound with pleanty of presence and enough synth grunt to do anything from conventional bread and butter subtractive to pretty out there FM-ish soundscapes.
Great stuff.
I should have downloaded it earlier.

Ilove this synth. Thanks so much for making it a freebie. My only problem is I can't see half of it in my host. Maybe wider with tinier buttons. Please let us know when you have a GUI update.

odo, yellow is interesting, but I must say I prefer the original GUI. I think you're the first person to attempt a skinning, though, so
Any news of whether xerocreep's GUI is coming along, or anyone else's? I still use Voyager a lot, it's just less "immediate" to tweak than I would like, it takes up so much screen space, and the interface isn't exactly "inspiring", although it is pleasant!

Anyone else having problems with Voyager ?
In eXT with some presets (or often after some playback) the output crashes causing Voyager's outputs to get disconnected .
Otherwise great synth

I have troubles with energyXT and presets: loading a new bank and playing the first sound is ok, changing in this bank preset make a "pop" in my monitor, then I only hear one channel, playing 2/3 notes kill the last channel (left channel here) and make energy XT completly losing audio. I have this trouble with original presets and submitted ones.
