See, I thought you would like it. I love their oldschool/new day fusion of sound. The 70s owned as far as music is concerend, The 80s weren't bad either, just different.

Hm. Sounds good... Reminds me a bit of Blowbeat, if anybody remembers them.

Agreed, musicians were a different breed for the most part back in the 70s(excluding christopher cross of course :hihi:) I think that more people are starting to pick up instruments again though after pop music of the 80s and 90s being dominated by sequencing.

Pop doesnt have to be a bad thing as long as there is some talent there.

Yeah, I loved the first NERD album, but it was hard to tell how much of that was NERD and how much was Spymob. Thanks for the heads up.

There are two versions of the first N.E.R.D album. The version I've got (the original) is all samples, drum machines and synths, done by Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams (and the other bloke).

The more recent version is the one with spymob playing (and is far more rock)

Their track on the Clones compilation is canny good though

i got both the versions of in search of... but i agree with cypher here- clones was an uber disappointment. of course, it is just their work with other artists, so it's not exactly going to be the same, but most of it is just so far away from what i like. didn't bother getting a refund tho! :hihi:

spymob are one swingin' rockin' piece tho :)
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
