we all know that the kind of people who vote on those sites are the cream of the human crop so the outcome must surely be the final concept of truth?

Easy listening / soft jazz (and a touch of Take Five), a bit unexpected amidst all the electronic power at kvr. After 1.20 or so I could have used a bit more variation, but other than that it's the type of mood that I wouldn't mind having an entire CD with. Well-performed of course.

Oh, I see. I'm a slow typer. The thing about random internet people who would visit a site called hotornot.com, those folks would probably find fruit and vegetables attractive so don't get too excited.kaze wrote: (By the way, has anyone put Vurt's picture on hotornot.com yet?)

what has that to do with your score on a website that is basically a joke in most peoples eyes?

It's a competition to get signed to a MAJOR label fictional as that may be some take it more serious than others..so um to answer your questions...Nothing, Yes, Yes for a dose of reality.kaze wrote:Yikes!!! I just got my computer working again. What happened to this thread? Isn't there enough shallowness in music? Does this need to be extend to this humble competition?

By the way thanks for all the lovely reviews of my song. I strive to make 'real songs' so your daughter was correct. I'm currently working on a pop album for a major label when I am not practicing choreography or auditioning for daytime tv.

Here's mine as of today and 230 random internet people voting:

How often do we hear surveys and statistics touted as "In a random sampling of X people, X percent think XYZ"?
So...
"In a randomn sampling of 230 people most think I am hotter than 98% of the other women on Hot Or Not"...
But hey, I only joined that site because one of my friends loves it and she goaded me into joining to see how I would be rated.
It's a "neck-down" contest then... eH?
Now I'm off to join UTM in Tijuana...

As if trapped in a Buffy-the-Vampire-Slayer twist of hellmouth reality, somewhere on Earth there is a middle school student council presidential race unfolding with unprecedented maturity.
Where's John Vulich when you need him? Someone let him know we all need makeovers for the hot or not sheep-meme-paradigm.

If you take one step back, a monthly song contest isn't that far removed from a hot-or-not...
I just went and voted a full 10 points for vurt, just to teach someone a lesson in statistics...
