here is a quick note...
There will be another big catastrophe, this one involving another huge earthquake. This is the third sign I was to look for. THe first was th Tsunami, the 2nd was the death of the Pope. The third is a huge quake in California, Washington or maybe Mexico, probably "the big one". After that the full message can be revealled.

I hope they never let you go near any children with that crap.
Anyway -- Gawd told me just the other day that you are really a 56 year-old ex ticket salesman from Brooklyn who likes to take pictures of hookers on 42nd St. So who's right? Gawd or your 'secret message whisperer'?

xander Reviews, Part V
odavy - I Can Hear Her:
Here is an example of an amazing wave of originality lately. Great use of guitar and vox.
I would have liked to hear more lyrics, but in a way, it has a minimal feel that I like. It does kinda sound like maybe it's the end of a larger song, but it's cool and I like the variations of the percs and harmonies.
astinine - baby:
Great little techno-pop piece! Up & perky! Makes me wanna shuffle me happy feets! Cool little melody & nice overall mix.
sttjelle - Sunday:
Man -- this morning I am way rockin out with my coffee doing these reviews. When my girlfriend starts moving around the house to the beat of a song, I know she way digs it.
I love this, what I call 'Euro-Anthem rock' -- upbeat and you'd have to be dead not to cop a groove on this one. Great mix, great vocals and great hook! I wish it was longer and I wish I could sing a verse or two on it!
Patrick9 - Sunshine:
A whole lotta mangling! You can tell a lot of work went into this and a very original piece of work is the result. I wish the vocal levels were up a bit and less 'phasing' - especially the girl. Cool song & great effort mate!
diek - Undercover(?):

Great feedback! Thanks alot. This isn't my usual genre as I tend to write more 'sad minor chord' tunes and more orchestral. Thanks again!...xander wrote:xander Reviews, Part V

from a catholic-christian point of view (the only one i'm entitled to hold about anything), a "message", or rather: "private revelation" is a true possibility. as Jesus told:
of course, these beautiful words don't refer to private revelations only, but these ones can be understood in the light of Jesus' words here.Jn 14, 26
"The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name--he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you."
Jn 16,12-13
"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming"
HOWEVER, a discerement is needed. a private revelation can never change or modify the only Revelation brought by and in Jesus Christ, as manifested in the Gospels.
The Church has always been very open and vigilant about private revelations. For example, here is an interesting declaration emanating from the canadian conference of catholic bishops:
The possibility of private revelation through visions and auditory experiences has always been recognized by the Church. Indeed the tradition and practice of the Church, in many of its devotions and recognized prophetic figures and mystics such as Saint John of the Cross and Saint Teresa of Avila, presuppose the existence of genuine private revelations. God can make himself perceptible to any person not only by his works but also by his free personal word. We recognize that the Holy Spirit can act upon the Church through any of its members.
Nevertheless, while private revelations can and do take place in the history of the Church, these are not to be understood as revealing some new doctrinal truths, as though adding new truths to God's definitive public Revelation. With the death of the last Apostle, the completion of public Revelation indicates the absolute supremacy and permanent normative character of the Christ-event: "no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ."(4) God's definitive public Revelation, which alone constitutes the faith of the People of God, is the standard against which the authenticity of any subsequent private revelation must be judged.
The Church has always taught that private revelations indicate how Christians should apply the message of the Gospel in a particular historical situation. (...). The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly states in this respect: "It is not their role to improve or complete Christ's definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history.... Christian faith cannot accept revelations that claim to surpass or correct the Revelation of which Christ is the fulfilment."(5) If perchance a private revelation does touch upon some point of doctrine, it has never been to add to the deposit of faith, but rather to draw special attention to some already revealed, but perhaps neglected, aspect of the deposit of faith.
apart from the necessary doctrinal discernment, i would add that any "messenger" ought to be a humble person. Humility doesn't mean accepting anything for the sake of Relativity, of course. However, even if a "messenger", a prophet, can have a strong character, they will tend to disapear behind their "message". They don't want to be famous, they don't play seductive games, they don't want to be worshiped, they just want that the world hears the "message"...
ladyj, i believe you are sincere. therefore i hope the above criteria of discernment will help you in some way. help you to be a real messenger of the truth.
(now, guys, flame me)

'A whole lotta mangling!' - Well, it is a product of my mangled brain.
The problem with the vocals is that I couldn't get a girly chorus, so I had to make do with pitch shifted vocals which do not bear scrutiny close up.
(Any chance Yan and her friends might oblige for the TOTPs gig?)
Cheers,
Pat

Why do you consdier the death of the frail old leader of a western religion 'a big catastrophe' on the scale of tens of thousands of deaths?
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

His death was not a catastrophe but a sign. His successor is a catastrophe and a fake pope who will cause many people to suffer around the world but that will come out eventually and there wont be much left of the Catholic church at that point.
anyway, i dont want to talk about this stuff anymore until its time.
As for being humble. I at heart am. The thing is in order to have the means and time to spread any message one today must be immediately recognizeable and independently wealthy. in a global sense both of which force me to use my talents in a less than humble way to become that which people accept. This will only last for 5-10 years. i already have planned for my retirement by buying a condo in a distant land away from the hot lights to in a more humble way talk about, write about and ponder the message for the remander of my life. (i am still very young)
Ok that's it. stop talking about the message please. it will be revealled when the time is right. i still am very unsure about it but it will all be clear to me when the time has come. the environment will play a factor. i have faith in that.
