Hi Everyone at the momment I'm running a PC with Cubase SX3,I live in Brighton UK and I've been applying for a Music Technology course and they only use Macs and Logic!? I brought Cubase because after reading all the music tech mags they all say that SX is the most popular sequencer,so why dosen't anyone use it!?They all say that Macs and Logic is "industry standard".

It depends on what market you include. Cubase is HUGE when it comes to "semi-pro" studios, meaning home studios and hobbyists. Now, that's not saying that using it makes you less than pro. But the "industry" just doesn't use it. They do have one project here at SAE in Nashville using Cubase, but that's it.
Here in Nashville(can't speak for over there), ProTools is the standard, with Nuendo running a distant second. Logic, Sonar, Cubase. not really used. Macs are very common in studios though. The reason is that PT was originally Mac only and studios latched onto that. Plus, Macs are notoriously more stable.
So Cubase does have a large user base, but not for "industry" studios. Doesn't mean it's not industry grade, just that it isn't used in that market.
