"The hunter" from Free's live album or "My guitar wants to kill your mama" by G3 if I need noise, otherwise it's any of the gentle Capercaille/Karen Matheson stuff (it's like Enya but for people with taste :) ) or some early Ry Cooder for me.

I agree with Rockstarfx, but I listen to elliot smith and the beatles just about every day... When Im hungover, 2 Loritabs, a bottled water, and Either OR(possibly even Figure 8 and basement on a hill) do the trick...

I'm with Rockstarfx on just about everything (except The Cure, not huge on them outside their really poppy stuff that most Cure fans hate), but here's one that's been forgotten:

Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks (great breakup/hangover album)

I have other favorites like Beck's Sea Change, and Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, or just about any of Leonard Cohen's early stuff. Just about any Belle and Sebastian works for me as well as does Neil Young's After The Goldrush.

And S_A_P I didn't know you were a huge Elliott Smith/Beatles fan. That explains the Rhodes: you're a pop freak like me.

I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.
