and dont forget...those images are controls. adjust slap implement, booty size, voice, etc. past the obvious humor of it, its actually a rather clever design idea. it sits surprisingly well in a mix too.bduffy wrote:Oh man! from what i've gathered, the main point of samplerobot is to help expedite the process of sampling hardware and converting those sounds into a format useful in the software world (like wav and SF2). so, if i understand it correctly, you set up how you want your hardware synth multisampled (what notes, velocity, etc.) and samplerobot takes care of the work by controlling the hardware, recording the output, creating trimmed samples, and either leaving them as individual wav files or assembling them into a single SF2 file. it supports vsampler too, and apparently hallion is on the way.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:And it looks as if the plugin does nothing at all.
i have no idea how well it actually works, but if it does a great job, then its a pretty nice idea. its nothing you couldnt do yourself by setting up a basic sequence in your host, recording the audio on playback, and editing the samples yourself...but if it can do a really good job of it all in essentially 1 step, it could be worth the $300 as a time saver for people who are creating and selling sample libraries of hardware.
