Where did he write something about 'negative delay' on each track? :?
well, this is at least how i personally understood it. you're right, it may be that it won't have an negatve value.

but at least its a step. anything that helps in this issue is welcome.

We all know this can already be done with plugins - to make it worth doing Jorgen (please :) ) should include the ability to type (or slide) delay values for multiple tracks at once: select 10 tracks -> type 1 value -> applied to all 10 tracks.

well, that works OK for 1 plugin, but if you add a 2nd plugin on one of other tracks, the system pretty much breaks down...

Its not a system. It just means that you can change more than 1 track at a time. Which would be very useful - particularly at the start of a project.

Hello world! :-)

yeah ;P .. well, i guess jörgen wants to make a 1.4 stable before implementing certain new ideas ....

yes, it looks like you bumped the thread...

:hihi:

So all the last replies are nothing more than bump?

I agree. Ideally, PDC should be a switchable option that, if swithed on, should simply happen. No sliders, no calculator, no arithmetic. Otherwise I couldn't be bothered.
When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.

hvaring, you're wrong ;) .. it /should/ have a slider to adjust the timing between the tracks! ;) ..

of course pdc is the n:o 1 request, but lately i've had this weird urge to adjust my track timings a few milliseconds here and there, and i'd like to do it really easily - ie - not having to open a vst on every track but to have that integrated in the interface, as /at least/ logic and cubase has. ... i would imagine a lot of others have it too ...

it's pretty handy when, för eksempel, some sounds have a long attack, and b/c of it, doesn't seem to be just exactly "on the beat" .. be it drums or pads ..

so this would imo be a good first step, since additionally it would work as an manual pdc.

the next step would be to automate the pdc, but leave the slider in.

you know, one step at a time =) ..

babysteps, babysteps .....

Yeah well it happens. I was wrong back in '63 too, I believe, if memory serves. :D

By all means. But automatic PDC (as found in e.g. Cubase SX) and manually adjustable track delays are two different features as far as I'm concerned, although codewise the former would most likely build on the latter.
