2300 is just proving how much of an idiot TDM users are.
Not only that they´re paying a premium for their TDM versions of plugins, no, they're even paying more than what naitive solutions would cost.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Yeah but TDM users aren't using up any CPU to run the plug-ins, and since there's a smaller market for them as opposed to the native market which is larger, and thus easier to develop for. They're a niche market, with specific needs, nothing wrong with URS charging more for the products geared towards them to recoup the development costs. Not that I don't think URS plug-ins are a bit on the overpriced side to begin with, but that's their perogotive.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

I always suspected that part of the TDM cost was a huge fee to Digi. Maybe that's wrong.
Grist for the glamour mill.

You'd be better off waiting for the new ishan eq, after the limiter was a big success he decided to work on it. :hyper:

I'm pretty sure this is wrong, you really can't "port" a plugin to TDM without some serious knowledge and work (in fact I think these plugins were ported in the other direction, from TDM).

TDM DSP development is very different from the native stuff, programming wizards I know cringe at the thought of Motorola 56k ASM.

So you put together these development costs, with the fact the TDM world is less potential sales, and add to that the fact that TDM owners are shown to spend money on stuff... you get a pricetag that is so absurd it makes me (TDM user) not even try the demos.

But I agree with Funkybot, it's their right to charge whatever they want.

You can get a Life for $15.99 (plus S+H).

You can get a Clue for the same price.
