hi,
it definetly has limitations.
since reason is useless for me:
(((well, i hate reason)))
maybe you want to trade your ableton-lite,
into a brand new reason-adapted,
with unused key+license???

i already got reason 3 and i just got the live 4 lite in my trigger finger bundle, and since Traktion's 2's timestretching is shit, i was thinkin bout using Live instaed, as right now i use acid 5 rewired.

are those the only mising features. what about track count, warp etc. i dont want to install this if its going to be useless. i just want to use it for timestretching.bambooman wrote:well:

so far its really cool. the build is surprisingly good. its light and made of plastic but i get the feeling i can bang on it and it wont break. the pads feel really good, better than the mpc pads imo. so far the divers are stable and editing with the enigma softare is a breeze.bambooman wrote:cool! how is "trigger finger"?
has it a good feel, while playing,
any driver bugs etc.?!
basiccally the best 200 dollars ive spent on gear.

I discovered to my great joy that i can happily DJ with 4 audio tracks(i think thats limit) using live 4 lite in demo mode(for multiple outputs monitor+main), and it didn't seem to stop after 30 minutes or anything so job done! If i need to warp my tracks before DJing with i use lite mode which has no multiple outs but can save warped tracks.
So all in all the best bit of free DJing software a boy could ask for! I now hope hat live 5 has a lite version coming so i can use my MP3's in this manner, that'd just be superb, then i can use same files for Live lite and traktor studio which i also have.
Sorry a little bit Off topic there, as you were!

Live Lite can be Rewired to Tracktion, it just can't be a rewire host.

i just tryed this and it turns out you can hook reason up to live lite but you cant hook live lite up to traktion. is that what you meant?braj wrote:Live Lite can be Rewired to Tracktion, it just can't be a rewire host.
i think it can be a rewire host but not a slave.

live lite (at least the korg edition i just got) has 6 audio tracks, 2 midi tracks, 1 send/return... all the fx and impulse + simpler. it can't sync to midi nor act as a rewire master. it also has per track limits for fx and vst/au, can't remember the amounts but you can basically use only a few fx per track.
the functionality is otherwise mostly like the main version which means impulse + simpler work like they should, all the elastic audio and quantization features are there, etc.
i'm seriously considering updating it to the full version. either that or logic 7 update, can't afford both.

The Evolution version that came with my UC-33e. Maybe different versions have different stuff enabled. I couldn't slave Reason to it as I recall.
