Does anyone know why my tracks always sound better in Sonar4 than they do after i bounce them to a single file? Or even if i use another program to record exactly what Sonar 4 is playing it still never sounds as good? Am i missing some producer trick that would allow my tracks to sound the same outside sonar as in?

This thread might help:

Also, go to the Cakewalk Sonar user forum and do a search on "panning laws". Very interesting.

Hmm....after reading the link posted..i tried removing the 'dithering' option in Sonar, and the sound quality DID in fact improve; however, it's still not as good as when i'm playing the un-bounced track within Sonar.... Actually, now that i think about it, the sound quality was good after i bounced the track....but the problem was i was getting tons of clipping. How is it possible that the track doesn't clip within Sonar, but not outside?? Suggestions??

Sonar has a "soft clipping" feature for audio within the app. I forget where you turn it off, (but for some reason remember how to turn it off in pro audio 9, there is an audio option check box that read something like "unpack audio >16 bits" or something like that).
