Just curious what are you using to keep this crap away from your PC? Since, my main PC is dying, I have been using my DAW laptop for everything now. I've been trying to keep it clean, but there is no way around it with some of this nasty spyware. I even logged in Command Prompt mode to delete all those *.exe and *.dll from Windows\system32\, than reboot and it still there. Tried HijackThis and Spybot Destroy, but those can't keep it clean either. I think after running Spybot, I actually got more spyware afterward?!? Is there any other free or commercial software you can recommend?

I like Spybot S&D, but you should think of the following:

I forgot the most important point. Reconsider using your DAW as an internet-computer. Get an old PC for that. Maybe just install some flavour of Linux (Ubuntu is very nice) instead of windows.
- Use an alternative browser. Firefox is very good and highly customisable.
How are you connected? If you're on ADSL (or SDSL or whatever), use a Router/modem. If you're lucky, the router comes with a powerful firewall.
Use a sofware firewall. I use Kerio, others prefer ZoneAlarm. There are others, too.
