Ok..official retard alert..

I still cannot get my Pro 88 to control ST2.

I click the Midi button in ST2. I choose a knob on ST2 and set the control number i want my Pro 88 to control. Nada.

Is there something i am missing? Is there a control channel that the Pro 88 needs to be on to make sure its communicating properly with the software?

I should know this because I have on but I don't have it in front of me. I am sure it is in the manual or you could ask M-Audio tech support to help you out there.

No offense to M-Audio support but the last time I tried them it took them 3-4 days to get back to me on a sound issue which I ended up resolving myself and when I finally got an email back from them the resolution they offered it was nowhere near what I needed to do.

I will look thru the manual again and see if i can come up with something. This has been an issue I have not been able to resolve since I have received the bundle pack. Im sure this is no fault of the software..its probably something so small that I am completely missing it.

I am able to get Atmosphere and RMX to work like a champ..but then again they have default midi maps that are already assigned and I could use Enigma and drag and drop the default assignments to the Pro88 then upload it.

Hmm... you need to make sure your Pro 88 is sending out the MIDI CCs that you think it is. For example, if you load a Pro 88 setup where the knobs send out MIDI CCs 1-24, and the faders send out MIDI CCs 25-34, then you'll know which CC to assign in ST2.

If it's still not working, just record some knob/fader movements to an empty MIDI track, and inspect the MIDI data to see if it's what you expect it to be. Then make sure you're correctly routing the MIDI track to ST2 (and that there aren't any funny MIDI filters in the way).

Hope that helps.

did you try something simple like a modwheel assignment? sometimes i have trouble working the higher up numbers so i just start with that one first. if that's working then move up to something big

I tried to get the volume control working and I cant even get that to work. I know the default for volume is #7. So I assigned the far right slider on the pro 88 #7 and that did not work..there must be some communication issue between my pro88 and ST2 for some reason.

i am sorry, i know how it feels to get in these pickles. just dont let it take away time and inspiration from your creative work.
sometimes with this studio gear it's like 80 percent technical and 20 percent performance/songwriting. someone will have the answer for you soon.

Make a MIDI track record-ready, hit record, and then move the slider while the MIDI track is recording.

Then take a look at what was recorded on the MIDI track. Let us know what you find. I'm sure this is solvable.
