I've been given a job to make a "James Bondish sort of dance track" for the closing credits of a motion picture. I use Cameleon and pentagon etc (although I usually make acoustic folk songs so this crap Im not used to). I have kontakt 2 and sample tank. Can anyone recommend me some good quality dance sounds/beats/samples etc? One of the discs that came with kontakt 2 is quite good but I want to expand a little.

Maybe a synth like Vanguard would be suitable as it gives an instant dance trance signature - complete with fat saws, gates, arps and delays.
Can't think of anything in the K2 synth section that quite does this, even with downstream fx.

What about the drums? Thats the most important thing for the at the moment. I've got some akai stuff on order. Some real ballsy technoy (i know its not a real word) stuff. And maybe some high hat loops. I'm crap at sequency that really fast stuff on the hi hats without it sounding like an epileptic on a typewriter
