Now that's KVR kind of humour I like. I must admit our [Croatian] language often sounds very funny to me, too, but OTOH when you think about it a bit more, every language can be funny. You should hear chinese... maaaan

.... a great Croatian singer songwriter Gibonni is in the studio these days , working on his new record, which will feature such musicians as Manu Katche, Tommy Emmanuel, Vlatko Stefanovski, etc. ---- and he is Croatian.

Man.... I like Techno/Industrial music,... never heard of a few you mentioned, although I've heard of Gibboni and he can blow my... well rather not, I'm straight . I've just never dig our native musicians except for Laibach and Borghesia.

Hehe, that figures! In other words you prefer "music" without a melody or structure, made by talentless people who neither can sing nor play an instrument, but have an attitude
FYI, Manu Katche, is a drummer, who played on many of Sting's hits among other things. Tommy Emmanuel is among the two or three greatest acoustic guitarist in the world at the moment. He's Australian, BTW. Vlatko Stefanovski is a world known Macedonian guitarist. But you wouldn't know that, cause you prefer "music" made by people who are not musicians in the true sense of the word.

so I was raised a cosmopolite, but my personal choice is Euro-music, mostly, except for some Canadian and Californian guys like Skinny Puppy, Clock DVA, Front Line Assembly... for me it would be a blasphemy to compare such great bands to Gibboni or whatever.

What makes these bands so great? Is it the fact that they don't use more than 3 chords, play loud music devoid of melody, with simple arrangements made of baas , guitar, and drums,or the fact that they're Canadian and Californian and "sing" in English.

OTOH, I was a bit harsh on a few points, and I appologise for that, but really just a bit . BTW, I'm sick and have a flu although it's summer, got it from my girlfriend and I'm nervous as hell, that could be the possible explanation of my behavour, too

You're just exaggerating. I too wish I lived in States at the moment cause I could pursue career in music industry (that's almost non existing in Cro), and put my talent to good use, but you have to make the best of what you got. You're still free to move to any place you like. I just happen to love Zagreb, so it would be more difficult for me than it would be for you....

You know something I don't? The only people I know who actually have careers in music in the States live in near poverty, age really poorly and end up looking like trolls by the time they're 40. They also aren't actually making their own music, but whoring as recording engineers for a bunch of gun toting wannabe gangsta rappers. I.e., they're getting pitifully little money from musicians who are willing to run up incredible credit card debt pursuing their own pointless and hopeless music careers.

**edit** Oh, and I know one guy making a living as a country song writer in Nashville instead of becoming the next Bruce Springstein, which is what he always really wanted to do. So, he's another whore.
