I'm just listening to this new album, and it's hitting me in a place no other music has. It's easy to imagine it as kind of an extension of where the Pumpkins were going with Machina, but the guitars are relegated to a very different role. Most definitely not Cock Rock.
Some of you may find it old hat, in which case I'd love to know what you listen to!!!

There's a track on it which has drumulator-sounds, no idea what it's called. I hated it at first but I find it's groing on me. Like a fungus, really.

Has anyone heard The Dissociatives (ex Silverchair frontman) album. I heard the Corgan album came out and was interested to hear what it sounded like and thought it might be the synth pop type stuff. You could call the Dissociative's psychedlic electo/synth rock/pop, as most of thier tracks are electronic sounding, but very organic and non guitar driven, with lots of layering and subtle things to give each track a specific texture. I could tell you it sounds like so and so etc., but i hate doing that. A very well produced album. Check it out if your looking for some new inspiration. I listen to everything from hippy jambands (Phish), to various electronic, to prog rock/metal, death metal, jazz/blues and classic rock. I try to keep an open mind about music and this album blew me away. Sorry to go off topic, I enjoy the Pumpkins stuff as well.
