Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning might be the two best metal albums of all time. I especially love Master of Puppets...everything- the lyrics, riffs and epic songs are freaking kick ass.
Toss in Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind, Slayer's Reign in Blood, Master of Reality from Black Sabbath and Screaming for Vengeance by Judas Priest and you're good to go.

YES. Powerslave would be my other Maiden choice. haha
Freaking "Back in the Village", "Aces High", "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner"!!!

Check out Adrian Smith's sweet vibrato on the video of Live After Death during the solo for "...Mariner"...for some reason that really had an impact for me when I started playing guitar.

Monumental album. Metallica kicked ass from Ride the Lightning to the black LP. WTF happend afterwards ??

its a toss up between Lighting and Puppetz. creeping death is my all time favorite song.

IMO, after the Grateful Dead, Metallica is one of the most overrated band of all time.
