No wonder you didn't need GlissEQ anymore!
(I just bought glissEQ from Jeff)

ok - I don't have £300 for a UAD-1 , despite all the recommendations :D

trackplug seems to get a lot of attention , although I do have concerns about loading one up in half a dozen channels - I'll try the demo.

thanks for all the other suggestions - food for thought :-) I appreciate it !

ps - whoever suggested the fruity plugin - thanks! great idea :D

No worries there... it's very light on cpu usage... I routinely load up a dozen instances of trackplug. It's my main "control strip" eq/compresser/gate.

Great plug, and there's a 50% discount for students/faculty/academic staff...

No shit - another vote for Filterscape.
Most people seem to associate it with a "filter" only, but it's an excellent sounding EQ-only as well. Ib Q6-mode it's extremely CPU-friendly as well.

I used the EQs that came with QuantumFX, but as you searched for one with not tooo many bands (18 and 9 they have) and second wouldn't buy the whole QFX for some EQs it wasn't such a good idea for you. Cuts very well what you want and so on, but well.
Like you, scuzzphut, I used the SpinEQ from computermusic, and recently then the HarmoniqEQ from Voxengo and the EQ that comes with Filterscape too. Filterscape is great, all the 3, synthie, filter, EQ.

Next beta of EnergyXT will have a channel-EQ, I read.

most use now the build in eq of Cubase SX.

Sometimes the Spinaudio eq10 and Nyquisteq.

and Fiterscape Q6, but I need to get a bit more used to it,
(most of the time I forget that I have it ;-) )
