Reason Combinator = modular synthesis?

I worked on the factory sound set for Reason 3. I've been asking for something like a Combinator since the beginning. Now that we have it AND you can put custom backdrops Sonic Reality is going to TOWN with that stuff. It sure is fun. It's almost like having a sound module plug-in inside Reason. You can add fx to samples, do complex routing, layers and even use it to enhance features that weren't there before such as finally being able to SAVE Dr. Rex filtering and patch data (couldn't do it before).

Sonic Reality is now the main company Propellerheads collaborates with for third party refills. They offer some of them as downloads on www.propellerheads.se We also have mini-refills on www.esoundz.com for download and then there are 20 volumes of disc you can get there as well. We're about to release 10-20 more too.

Okay, in CASE you are interested (just a little plug for our stuff). Here's something I think anyone would be interested in. We've got some FREE refills coming up in magazines as well. So, you can at least check those out since they ARE free.

Another cool thing for Reason users that I have no involvement with but if you are into modular synthesis this might be interesting to you. It is from this company www.petertools.com and it is a midi modulation device. I haven't had a chance to use it yet myself but it looked interesting.

They need to come up with some other modules like a spline based version of the Matrix for creating LFOs and multi-stage envelopes. It's absurd to have to use a Subtractor just to have it's LFO modulate another synth's parameters. Of course since the Propellerheads have an insanely slow development time I wouldn't hold your breath for new modules anytime soon. I, for one, have pretty much discounted them and expect Reason going the way of Rebirth sometime soon.
I agree that having more modulators could be amazing, but is modulating with subtractor really absurd? and what about modulating with malstrom, where u get more waveforms and double modulation?

for the support thing, we're talking of a totally different app from Rebirth. It doesn't mean I trust the Props to support the app 'till 2112, but the user base is something.

[Squids...the Mello-T is very good and very cheap...thanx a lot.]
