Really im jes' talkin shit here, Dallas isnt all that bad, but I would never live there. My buddy grew up in southlake and now is in law school in fort worthless. I actually liked their downtown bar scene. For me though Austin is the perfect city in texas, not quite a nice as it used to be, but its still by far the best music scene you will find in the south, save memphis/Nashville.(and that is alittle too country and western for me..)Chase wrote:HAHAHA!!! I guess I'll have to dye my hair and sell my car then (did you do that on purpose?)S_A_P® wrote:ahh yound lad, someday you will leave that God forsaken city, and a moment of clarity will strike you and you will think "What took me so flippin long to leave this city full of prissy blond haired snobby lexus driving beeeyotches?!?!?!?!?"Chase wrote:what?

There are snobby people EVERYWHERE. Deep Ellum is the shiznite. I havent seen such a moving art community like it anywhere except PARIS.
The only thing I hate here is the heat/sun.

did anyone out there go to Level 5 or Metropolis? Little teenybopper clubs, but some of the coolest ones I ever went too : D
Plano....arghhh huh, I went to that highschool.

I've seen a few dj's at metropolis but have never even been to level 5. Neither are very big (though they are well heard-of). It's all about Trees, Gypsy Tea Room, lizard lounge, club one, etc. etc. now.

I live in, and love, Austin. My wife and I could live anywhere, but Austin is our home. As far as the rest of Texas goes, there's a saying in Austin...Hink wrote:that's funny cause the second time I moved to Texas I moved to lewisville which is a dallas suberb....that was '84...and you just summed up perfectly my impressions of the dallas area then....I never made it over to houston, but the Austin area in the late 70's and early 80's was great (I spent 3 year up at ft hood)...except for the heat...you can take hink of new england...but...you aint gonna get the new england out of hink...I need 4 seasons...S_A_P® wrote:Dallas shouldnt be considered part of texas. Well Plano/Richardson has the Asian/Indian culture now (I love immigration!)
Dallas isn't so bad, I just think it is too sprawled to have community.
I think developments downtown, different cultures coming in, and people getting more involved in things like this will help!
P.S. - Up to 3 girls now, I think that's more than all of KVR!

My graduation class had almost 1500 kids in it, only two grades and close to 3000 students.
the level 5 I went to closed down and then we migrated to Metropolis.
