A cheap (or free) Sample Editor with VST support

I'm looking at something to cut samples, make loops... and also to master with a chain of VST effects.

Something like Wavelab.

But cheaper. :D

No, Audacity is not good, because I want to see the GUI of a VST. If I could, and if I didn't have to move them to the Audacity folder... then, it would be another story. (Btw, why are these things not possible? Legal issues maybe?)

I know about Kristal, but it's not very good for cutting samples and looping them and so on...

(I guess Audacity+Kristal could do the job tho.)

I'm also thinking about Wavelab 4. It seem to have it all... also for cd burning. And I don't need the extra features of version 5. But it's still quite some money to spend.

Thanks!

I think GoldWave has VST support but i'd need to check that to be 100% sure.

You could wrap the VST via DX Wrapper and use something like Acoustica which is a well priced.
