Be mean with me, I know your critical side is unfriendly to most, but not me.

The incoherent comment is a bit puzzeling, could you elaborate please.

One of my friends who heard this said, "I don't like this". "Why", I asked, "Because there is too much going on".

Perhaps this is what you're getting at?
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

I am curious -- why is it that you don't like 'sampled drum sets'?

Ultimately, what's the difference between a real sampled drum and an audio recording of a drum?

 indeed.
I took your song and put it through a hipass intellectualizer, with gain set to about 11 and the rectum analyzer on medium. Then I set my bad conscience to freerun, and didn't edit or read the post before hitting send.

What? I wasn't close? You didn't want to make fun of idiotic pop music by doing it better but not giving a f**k?

I think so. I didn't analyze. It's a mood.

I don't like drum sets. Period. They are a big limitation in the way we make and think music, IMHO. But a real drummer playing in a band has feeling etc. Programmed drums are boring. You can do so much interesting stuff with percussive elements when you're using a computer. Any and all sound can be used. Why anyone would want to use a sampled drum set is beyond me. All rules have exceptions.

(I used a sampled drum set this month, I know, but I was being ironic).

Ok :)

I only asked because I get the impression that my shit is left field. I don't want to be incoherent (well, at least for this month :P).
It's as commercial as I can get!!
At least, now! ;)

OK  You also mentioned that about sampled horns earlier as well -- I just think it's a pretty strange comment -- especially in a forum where virtually everyone uses samples/samplers and that such 'virtual instruments' is what KVR is all about...

You sure you're in the right forum?

Just for the record, Im using garret's downloader, and obviously it cant pick up those folk with tracks at The Auditorium. Sorry guys...
